Today I do not have it in me Friends.
Doug Dog is beside himself. He has been sad for over three weeks straight. I’ve not seen him like this since Joy the Puppy passed away over a year ago. Then it took him over a month to start meeting us at the door with a toy again when we returned home. Now he won’t even get off the chair.
This is the happiest dog I hav EVER met, and I have met quite a few dogs! We are all book loving introverts save Doug who is an absolute clown. If one of us is sad, he will annoy us into being at least distracted, if not happy. Right now, he does not have it in him and I am at a loss at how to help him.
Maybe Dougie like us all needs to just be sad for a season.
It’s ok Dougie. To be sad I mean. It’s not ok that your best friend Periwinkle Pug died, and I am so so sorry Buddy. We will always miss her, but things will get more bearable soon sweet boy.
