Yesterday, Amanda, Russ and I went to Septemberfest!
Russ won Amanda a goldfish!
Here is her story...
Not ten minutes into our adventure, Russ sank a pingpong ball into a tiny bowl, winning Amanda a beautiful goldfish!
While they celebrated, I took to Twitter to ask my friends what to do next.
The Illustrated Man from whom we won the fish babysat her for us until we returned at the end of the afternoon. Thank you Sir!
We stopped at PetSmart on the way home. Cindy-Friend helped us with everything we needed to know about fish. It is amazing how much you forget in a few years! We bought our new fish a friend and a giant tank.
Miss PetSmart Bossy Smarty Pants thinks our fish will DIE because we are doing it all wrong. But she did scoop out the fish friend we wanted out of an entire tank full of comet fish on her first try. Thank you Miss PetSmart Bossy Smarty Pants! We hope to prove you wrong. And we are not deterred - Cindy believes in us!
We did not think through anything about this fish adventure very thoroughly.
Russ explained our new pets to Luna and Joy.
They were not impressed.
Meet Sapphire and Ruby!
Amanda released the tiny fish into their giant mansion once they had become acclimated to the water temperature.
Abby was happily surprised!
Amanda wisely suggested I include pictures in full color so you can see how beautiful our new little friends are. Sorry you are missing out on these beautiful colors dogs!
