I spent the weekend at the Central Veterinary Conference in Kansas City. It was great, as always.

I decided I will try to treat Luna more like the big dog she aspires to be. No more picking her up for kisses or pulling her back from tripping strangers. If I would not or could not do it to a Rottie (so she can still be a goofy lap dog), I won't do it to Luna - so far I am not succeeding.

I must have seen HUNDREDS of slides over four days. This is by far my favorite. Dr. Dryden talked about the damage heartworms can do. It is worth its own post. But I loved this slide so much.

For those of you who saw me lose my <cool> at lunch at the CVC on Sunday, and to the friends who have, at my vague request, posted encouraging Facebook posts and texted Erika, I am really sorry about the lack of detail. Erika (a friend of many of us and a tech at Gentle Doctor) has had a rough weekend,
AND SHE IS OKAY. Angie and I saw her last night. She would like it if you called or texted. She said I could tell the story, but I think it is hers to tell. I will ask her a bunch more times, and if she would rather I tell it, I will post away. Do not worry, and I am sorry if I did cause you to worry. All is well...all will be well. <3
