5 Stars!
I know, I review leadership books and veterinary products. But it was so important to me that this restaurant be as good as it is, that I thought it was worth blogging about.
Twenty-some years ago...wait, a few years before that, Russ asked me out. I said no.
We have been good friends ever since.
Three years later, at the end of our college careers, as I was preparing to leave the country for the summer then move away for veterinary school, Russ and I were sitting down for lunch.
I asked Russ, "Is it too late to change my mind?"
"About your sandwich? No, probably not."
"About dating," I said.
"Oh. No...cool!"
It was the worst lunch we have ever had. I mean, the best of course. But the worst food. So nostalgically, we have gone back to the same place three times over the past two decades, each experience worse than the last. Which is crazy! We love food! There have been very few meals we have not enjoyed!
We were so excited to see a new restaurant was going into that space. Maybe now we could go back? When we saw it was called "Pig and Finch" I was so happy! "I call Finch!" I yelled as we drove past.
Russ took Amanda and Abby and me to dinner at Pig and Finch for our twentieth anniversary on June 28, 2016. It was the best meal we have had in every way.
Thank you Pig and Finch team. We are so glad you are right where you are. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back again soon!
