I have seen a handful of Scottish Terriers since those Kiltie and Mattie and Murphy McCook, and I have loved them all.
My current Scottie (I try, so far as it depends on me, to always have a Scottie in my life) is walking bravely through the last stages of cancer. We will most likely euthanize her at home. Russ may come with us, but only for emotional support, not because I don’t have a clue what I am doing. This time I do. And this time – knowing what I know over fifteen years later - I will willingly walk straight into a broken heart again.
