How are female leaders in veterinary medicine perceived compared to their male counterparts?
Here is my answer...
Women are viewed as intellectual, compassionate, family-oriented associates willing to work for less.
Men are viewed as strong, business-minded, career-oriented practice owners unwilling to work for less.
Acknowledging people are individuals, not gender-specific box contents and letting our actual traits define us will improve veterinary medicine for all of us.
