I was passing Dr. Belfiore’s patient in the treatment room on my way to…somewhere. I don’t remember where now. Her area was clean and dry, and she wasn’t due for any medications.
I sat down in front of her and pet her ears for a while. She leaned into the petting until she tipped over onto her side.
She was euthanized later that day for a worsening terminal condition. I was glad I had stopped.
